Matthew 5:13–16; 1 Peter 3:13–16; Colossians 4:2–6

Good news naturally wants to be shared. You do not need to know every answer or become a public speaker before telling someone what Jesus means to you.

Christian witness includes both words and actions. A life marked by compassion, honesty, forgiveness and service makes the message visible. But actions alone do not explain who Jesus is, so we also learn to speak about him with clarity and humility.

A simple personal story has three parts:

1. What was my life or understanding like before I trusted Jesus?
2. How did I come to understand and trust the gospel?
3. What difference is Jesus making now?

Avoid exaggeration. Following Jesus does not mean every problem disappears. Honest stories often have greater power because they show Christ's presence within real life.

Listen before speaking. Ask people what they believe, respect their freedom and never treat friendship as a project. If someone asks a question you cannot answer, it is fine to say, “I don't know, but I would be glad to explore that with you.”

Pray for people by name. Look for natural opportunities. Trust God with the outcome; your responsibility is faithfulness, not pressure.

• Who helped me understand Jesus?
• How would I describe what Jesus has done for me in two minutes?
• Who might be open to a thoughtful conversation?

“Jesus, thank you for the people who helped me know you. Give me love, courage and wisdom to make you known without pressure or pride. Amen.”
